2024 Chrysler 300: Is Chrysler Coming Out with a New 300? Customers were spared the inevitable hiccups that come with new releases, and sister models from Dodge even built an entire muscle culture around the platform that they share with the 300.

As is the case with a large number of other FCA products already on the market, budget constraints have meant that engineers and designers have worked for years to improve aging platforms rather than coming up with all-new models. This has been beneficial for customers.

In light of the fact that FCA and PSA have just joined to become Stellantis, the mothership’s current objective is to accelerate the process of electrifying the fleet in order to make up for lost time. And at the most recent event, CES 2022, Stellantis detailed their intentions to entirely turn over Chrysler, with the goal of making it the giant’s high-tech brand in the near future.

As a result of this, Chrysler plans to introduce its first fully electric vehicle in the year 2025. This step will put the automaker on the path to being an all-electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer by the year 2028.

In addition, a sneak peek at the metamorphosis was provided by the Chrysler Airflow Concept (a selection of official photographs of the vehicle may be seen in the subsequent section of the gallery).

Underneath the skin (we’ll get to that in a moment), we find the STLA Large electric vehicle platform that will underpin multiple Stellantis models, which the company had previously described as offering a range of up to 500 miles. The STLA Large electric vehicle platform will underpin multiple Stellantis models (800 km).

It’s possible that the 2024 Chrysler 300 will be the enormous car that satisfies your need for the past. Old-fashioned sedans, such as this one, do not sell in the amounts that they used to, which is why contemporary counterparts, such as the Chevrolet Impala, have been discontinued entirely. Despite this, there is something endearing about the way the 300 walks with its smooth strut and optional Hemi V8 engine that produces 363 horsepower.

Although it will share a platform with the Charger SRT8, the Chrysler 300 SRT8 will strive to keep its own identity in spite of the fact that it will be manufactured alongside the Charger SRT8. This style is well created and executed. The Chrysler 300 SRT8 exudes authority without being quite as brazen as its sister, the Dodge Charger.

Under The Metal

When it comes to the cabin, the 300C has never been considered to be the gold standard in terms of perceived quality and technology. In terms of design, a combination of the Peugeot 508 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia would provide for a decent starting point; however, the Peugeot’s contentious instrument cluster and steering wheel configuration should be avoided.

Another approach would be to take cues from Chrysler’s most recent concept vehicle, the Airflow Vision. This vehicle included a bevy of displays, including a digital instrument cluster, an information and entertainment system, and a secondary display located underneath the dashboard.

The most recent advancements in infotainment and communication are now available with Uconnect 5, which is operating on entirely new hardware and provides over-the-air updates, and support for Alexa, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

As for what is hidden under the surface, however, there are many who believe that the roots of the 300C may be traced all the way back to the period when man first found fire. Although the impending merger between FCA and PSA Group may provide access to more modern architecture such as the EMP2 platform, this latter architecture only covers the upper part of the compact segment up to midsize models and can accommodate both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

Therefore, it would make more sense to utilize something like an extended version of the Alfa Romeo Giorgio platform that currently underpins the Giulia and Stelvio or possibly, an altered version with more powertrain selections such as electrification – a choice that would undoubtedly be expensive.

In either case, it would make more sense to utilize something like an extended version of the Alfa Romeo Giorgio platform. A totally electrified platform that could be shared across the numerous companies in the group is the subject of the following suggestion, which represents a third and even more expensive remedy to the situation.

2024 Chrysler 300 Redesign

The Chrysler 300 will carry through until the 2024 model year in its same configuration, but with some minor refinements. All 2024 versions are equipped with a standard N95 internal air filter, and the Comfort Group option that is available on Touring L and 300S trims includes a security alarm as one of its components.

The 300 continues to have a powerful presence. The two most basic levels of trim feature a black grille with a silver surround, while the more powerful V6 and V8 engines available in the Chrysler 300S have a black chrome surround. Wheel sizes range anywhere from 17 to 20 inches, and standard features include bi-functional halogen projector headlights and LED daytime running lights.

This model year, the Sport Appearance option, which features alloy wheels of 20 inches in diameter, will be available as an upgrade for the Touring L trim level. Standard features on the S model include a global positioning system (GPS), a panoramic sunroof with two panes of glass, a premium music system with nine speakers, and a subwoofer that is positioned in the trunk. This year, three different exterior color options are being eliminated, leaving just two different color schemes for the inside.

Although the appearance of the 2024 Chrysler 300 may still wow the neighbors, the inside has most clearly shown its age. To our relief, this preconceived image is almost entirely attributable to the antiquated look of the cabin; yet, once it is put to use, the cabin operates rather well. The ventilation and entertainment controls are easy to use, the seats in the lounge-style seating area are very large and comfortable, and the top trims have an air of refined sophistication about them.

The Touring trim level, on the other hand, has cloth upholstery and does not come with heated seats. This level is considered to be more basic. However, the higher trim level of the 300 comes standard with leather upholstery and front seats that are power-adjustable for both the driver and front passenger.

The safety package continues to be quite unimpressive, with lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control both being offered as add-ons for the two most expensive model levels.

The standard 3.6-liter Penta star V6 engine in the vehicle generates 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, whilst the S V6 engine generates 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. This engine may be equipped with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and an eight-speed Torque Flite automatic gearbox is included as standard equipment. Along with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the S V8 comes standard with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that is capable of generating 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque.

Although the 2024 Chrysler 300 has a low engine speed of just around 5,800 revolutions per minute (rpm), it had no trouble propelling the enormous sedan forward during our evaluation and produced a pleasant rumble when it was required to do so. The huge V8 engine makes it simple to go around slower traffic and to get onto the highway.

This is the engine that is best suited to the 300 since it quickly propels the sedan to the greatest allowed speed and beyond. The V6 engine performs well, although it may benefit from more effort while traveling at greater speeds. It supplies metropolitan areas with far more power than is required.

It may be argued that the present iteration of the 300C does not fall short in the engine category; nonetheless, more environmentally friendly credentials are always appreciated. In light of this, the Chrysler Pacifica minivan already has a possible plug-in powertrain, which consists of a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery and an electronic continuously variable transmission (e-CVT).

A Dying Segment

Although both the Chrysler 300 and the Dodge Charger compete in the ever-shrinking market for big sedans, they stand out from the crowd because to their distinct combination of rear-wheel drive and approachable V8 performance. The majority of its competitors, including the Nissan Maxima and the Toyota Avalon, go with V6 powertrains and front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations respectively.

But would a fresh start be enough to sway customers away from the brand’s competitors and the ever-growing demand for SUVs? It’s arguable that it’s an impossible task; any successor would need to be a runaway success, and then there’s the elephant in the room, which is the fact that the Chrysler brand only has two models… Aside from consulting one’s crystal ball, I’m not sure whether that’s enough to live.
