It is unknown which engines will continue to exist or which will be phased out, but if one were to be eliminated. Another technology introduced, the gasoline engine with a displacement of 6.2 liters, would most likely be the one to do so.
That would leave Ford with two types of machines in its arsenal: a v-8 solid gas engine and a diesel engine. But are there any other aspects of the powertrain that are lacking?
Is There Going to be a Hybrid?
There has been a great deal of conjecture that Ford may provide an adaptation of its PowerBoost hybrid engine in the subsequent generation of its SuperDuty pickup truck.
