2024 Honda Odyssey Spy Shots: Everything We Know So Far – One of the most popular minivans is set to get a few minor updates for the next year. Reportedly, the next 2024 Honda Odyssey will get a new trim for its base level along with a newly redesigned version of the Sport model that will sit in the middle of the lineup. The rest of the details will, for the most part, stay the same.

The new one, much like its forerunner, will come with a cabin that is not only roomy but also well-built, polished, and comfortable. In addition to this, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has rated the Honda Odyssey with the highest possible rating of five stars for its overall safety (NHTSA).

Every Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which generates 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The power is transmitted via a 10 speed automatic gearbox that is both quiet and economical.

2024 Honda Odyssey Redesign

It is anticipated that Honda will remodel the Odyssey in the year 2024. However, Honda has not yet made an official announcement on the next generation of the Odyssey, and the majority of the information provided in the early reports was based on guesswork.

According to the findings of an investigation conducted by the trade newspaper Automotive News, a redesigned version of the Honda Odyssey is likely to be introduced for the 2024 model year.

The Honda Odyssey is now being released for the model year 2018, and since its first release, it has only seen a few minor upgrades. Although we believe that the possibilities of a redesign for the 2024 Odyssey may only be based on the assumptions of a five-year Odyssey generation, we believe that this model has the potential to be a more modern option in the middle of a market that is experiencing a contraction in the minivan market.

Recent changes made by Toyota include converting the Sienna family’s carriers into hybrid-only cars. Buyers of the Chrysler Pacifica have the option of choosing gasoline engines or the industry’s first plug-in hybrid minivan as their powertrain, depending on their preferences (PHEV).

The Odyssey LX will no longer be manufactured by Honda after 2024, which would result in a price increase of $38,635. Even though there is a new Sport grade in the middle of the range, it is outfitted in the same manner as the EX-L. It boasts a gloss black grille, external trim that matches the rest of the vehicle, and 19-inch alloy wheels. In addition, Honda takes care of the maintenance costs for the first two years.

Will the next version of the Odyssey come with hybrid or even plug-in electric vehicle powertrain options? What happens next is still up in the air. The Insight, the Accord, and the CR-V Hybrid are the only Honda hybrids that are currently available for purchase.

The current EPA rating for the Odyssey minivan’s fuel efficiency is not very impressive at 22 mpg overall. This is in comparison to the Toyota Sienna, which has a rating of 36 mpg.

The lack of an all-wheel-drive option for more severe weather conditions is probably one of the ways in which the Odyssey falls short of the competition. Instead, Sienna will continue to be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants. We do not know at this time if the next iteration of the Odyssey will share the same platform as the reported 2024 Honda Pilot makeover that is slated to take place this year.

On the basis of the sales date of the previous Odyssey, we anticipate that the release date of the Odyssey 2024 will be in the first half of 2024. However, we do not yet know if the worldwide scarcity of chips would effect the launch of cars or perhaps cause a delay in their introduction. Stay up to date by checking back for new information as it becomes available.

2024 Honda Odyssey Interior

The Odyssey 2024 minivan comes equipped with enough space for eight people to sit down and relax. And while there are 15 cupholders, just one of them has to be a bit more frugal with their beverages than the other fourteen.

There is sufficient room available in each of the three rows of seats. And between folding and sliding from several places, including the rear row collapsed all the way to the floor, there should be enough variety to transport passengers and/or baggage to satisfy the majority of purchasers.

As is the case with the company’s other offerings, the materials found within the cabin are of a respectable grade and have superb fit and finish. Concave mirrors, like the one just above the standard rearview mirror, provide for a more thorough assessment of the area behind the driver and front passenger.

Black leather is used for the sport-trim seating surfaces in the front seats and the outboard second-row positions. Red stitching contrasts well with the black leather. The steering wheel utilizes the same color scheme as the rest of the vehicle. In addition, the title is black.

The Touring and Luxury trim levels come standard with the CabinWatch and CabinTalk rear seat monitors. With these features, the driver’s voice can be heard through the headphones of the rear seat entertainment system (on the Touring trim level) or through the rear headphones and speakers on the Luxury trim level (Elite trim).

Another characteristic that should be of concern to abusive parents is the fact that every Odyssey 2024 comes standard with powerful sliding passenger doors on both sides. Additionally, the robust tailgate is available starting at the level of the second trim.

The new Sport trim comes in at number three, which places it smack dab in the center of the lineup. A number of the external features, including the grille, the housing for the rearview mirror, the B-pillar, the rear-most pillar, the headlight cover, and the taillight trim, are finished in a glossy black.

A black treatment is applied to the wheels as well. This is the first trim level to come standard with alloy wheels that measure 19 inches in diameter. This brings up an important point that should be kept in mind throughout the test drive, and that is the fact that we favor the more comfortable ride quality provided by the 18-inch wheel and tire combination that is standard on the base and eco trims.

Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, and Sonic Grey Pearl are the colors that may be purchased with the Sport trim. This final color is also offered in the Touring and Elite trim levels.

2024 Honda Odyssey Engine

The Odyssey is a lover who will not accept any kind of compromise despite its fleet-footed, sleek, and polished appearance. When behind the wheel of an Odyssey, it is easy to forget that you are operating a passenger vehicle with three rows of seating due to the abrupt nature of the vehicle’s direction changes. The vehicle has direct steering and modest power, but it might benefit from receiving more input from the road.

The Odyssey is a well-ridable minivan, and its agility makes it competent in bends and simple to drive on small roads. However, riding fanatics won’t be thrilled with it since it’s still a minivan, so they won’t be satisfied.

We put the Elite through its paces and discovered that its mount was not compatible with our long-range Pacifica. The usual 19-inch alloy wheels might be one of the causes for this discrepancy.

The EX-L that we drove had wheels that were 18 inches in diameter, and it seemed to be more suited to the rough Michigan road that we traveled on every day. However, the Odyssey offers pleasant driving characteristics, and although this is true on most road conditions, some passengers will still grumble about it.

Each and every 2024 Odyssey minivan is powered by a V6 engine that is 3.5 liters in capacity. It does not have a turbocharger or anything like to that. With 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, the output is in excess of what is required. This only applies to the front wheels since the vehicle only comes with a front-wheel drive configuration; an all-wheel drive configuration is not an option.

Refinement is done to regular gasoline. When just three of an engine’s cylinders are operated, as is often the case, cylinder deactivation helps improve the vehicle’s overall fuel economy. In addition, a feature that allows the engine to be stopped and started again that may be disabled if desired.
